How To Program Your Jobcom JBS Radio Choose your frequency and tone codes to match your existing radio system. Each channel will require the entry of 4 digits. 2 digits select the operating frequency; 2 digits select the PL tone value. ( Programming channel 2 is optional.) The value 0 in a Ritron Code is entered through 10 clicks on the PTT button. To enter programming mode: 1. Turn radio on. 2. Press and hold "Off" button until "Off" tones are heard then release. 3. Press and hold simultaneously both "Push-To-Talk" button and "On" button. The base radio will begin to beep rapidly. Continue holding both buttons until beeping stops, then release both buttons. Enter
frequency and tone codes with push to talk button. For
example, frequency 154.600 corresponds to Ritron Code 01 and a PL
code of 179.9 equals a Ritron Code of 29. To program this
example you need to press the "PTT" ten times, pause, then the radio
sounds a low tone. Now press the "PTT" one time; the radio sounds
another low tone. The frequency codes has been entered. (Continue in the same manner if a second channel is to be programmed. If only one channel is programmed proceed to next step.) 4. When all values are programmed press "On/Volume Up" button to save programming information. The radio sounds a triple beep confirming successful programming. |
